Natural Stone Care

Maintain the natural beauty of the stone for an extended period of time

Euroselect Stone offers the finest natural stone from around the world and creates stunning home and office spaces.  Stone can last a lifetime, but it needs a little bit of help to maintain it’s beauty. Follow these tips to maximize the beauty and lifespan of your natural stone.

When you choose natural stone for your kitchen, you are selecting a material that will last as long as the home and remain in demand decades from now.

Here are some of the many benefits of incorporating natural stone into your kitchen

Natural stone countertops are incredibly durable, require minimal maintenance and can withstand the spills, accidents and mishaps that often accompany day-to-day living.

Stone like granite, which is one of the hardest stones in nature, is incredibly heat and scratch resistant.

Natural stone is highly resistant to bacteria for a sanitary prep surface, and it can be sealed for even greater protection and cleanliness.

Attractive to Buyers

Natural stone is desirable among homebuyers because it adds a luxurious style to the kitchen. Buyers also appreciate the durability of stone along with
its minimal maintenance requirements.
These traits can all increase the marketability and value of your home at resale. If you’re going to invest money in a remodel, the kitchen is also the place to do it.
Buyers tend to focus on kitchens and bathrooms, and a moderate renovation can give you a return of up to 95 percent.

Many countertop options on the market today can be tempting because they are easier to install or have a lower cost than stone, but this comes at a price. These countertops often contain chemicals and plastics that contribute to greenhouse gases.

They also lack the long life and durability of stone, and they are very difficult to recycle when they reach the end of their use. With natural stone, you are buying a product without manmade properties for a truly eco-friendly decision.

Natural stone can last for many decades and retain its beauty and finish with very little maintenance. Natural stone can meet the demands of the busiest kitchen without showing signs of wear.

The Uniqueness

No two slabs of granite, marble or quartzite are exactly alike, meaning you can truly create a one-of-a-kind kitchen or bathroom by choosing them for your countertops.

Overall Appeal

“Stone naturally contains numerous microscopic holes, also known as pores, allowing spills to seep in, sometimes staining or damaging the stone. We recommend sealing natural stone countertops regularly to preserve their beauty. How often depends on the type of stone and the quality of the sealer. The sealer will stop the penetration of water and damaging liquids into the stone. All natural stone countertops installed by Euroselect Stone are sealed with a food safe, penetrating sealer.”

Some customers may want a hassle-free solution for long-term stain protection. The MORE™ Infinity™ Warranty Program provides that extra level of protection. Cleaning stone surfaces is easy, all you need is a few drops of neutral cleaner or a mild liquid dish-washing detergent and warm water. Use a clean soft cloth for best results. Do not use scouring powders, creams, products that contain lemon, vinegar, bleach or other acids on stone surfaces; these products are abrasive or contain abrasives that may scratch the surface!

For vanity tops we recommend wiping the surface after use to minimize soap scum. To remove soap scum use a non-acidic soap scum remover. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth.
